We built these raised garden boxes, stay tuned for specials from "Barb's Garden." She plans on having a corner stand (Ha, like I won't eat it all!). The taller one on the right is for root vegetables (potatoes, carrots, etc.)

We have a nice flowing pondless stream of water, very relaxing.

Our sod has been laid, thank goodness, now Roudy has someplace to pee.

Barb's Cabinets have been installed for her craft room and the counter tops are expected to be installed next week.

This week we have started working on the backyard. The landscapers have put up a retaining wall on the east side to reduce the amount of the slope leveling off the grassy area.

It's been 3 weeks since we moved into the house and it is really coming together now. We have the fence installed which looks wonderful. We went with a dark tan fence and it really looks good against the house.

This week we had the deck installed. We went with a Trex-like product from Tamco and a tan vinyl railing that goes good with the fence.

The next major project is the backyard landscaping.

Tomorrow is closing day! Yippee!
We hired Big Mountain Landscaping to do our front yard. They did a magnificent job. They brought in top soil and boulders to build a retaining wall around the front of the house. That window will become Callie's (our cat) perch. Barb is planting shrubs that will attract butterflies and birds. We will put the bird feeder and bird bath there also.
